Terms of service

What you can expect from AgentDesk, what we expect from you, and the limits of what an automated voice agent should ever be asked to do.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. AgentDesk is not yet a registered company, so there is no company number or registered office to list. Billing is off: creating a workspace does not take a card.

The agreement

These terms apply when you create a AgentDesk workspace or use the API. If you are accepting them for a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind that company.

Your workspace and number

We issue an inbound number to your workspace and answer calls to it with the agent you configure. The number is assigned for use with the service; it is not sold to you, and it may be reclaimed if the workspace is closed.

You are responsible for what your agent says. You choose the greeting, the closing line, the transfer number and the buy box, and you are responsible for keeping them accurate and lawful.

What the agent will never do

Regardless of how you configure it, the agent will not make or imply an offer to purchase, quote a price or a valuation, or give legal, tax or financial advice. These guardrails cannot be switched off.

Nothing said on a call and nothing shown in the dashboard is an offer, a contract, or professional advice.

Recording and consent

You decide whether calls are recorded and how long transcripts are kept. You are responsible for ensuring the notice given to callers is accurate and that recording is lawful where you operate.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful, misleading or harassing calls, for automated outbound campaigns, to impersonate another business, or to collect information you have no lawful basis to collect.

Do not attempt to break the platform: no probing other workspaces, no reverse engineering, no circumventing rate limits, and no reselling access without written agreement.

We may suspend a workspace immediately where use puts callers, carriers or the platform at risk, and will tell the owner why.

API keys and webhooks

API keys act on your behalf and are your responsibility. Keep them server-side, rotate them when staff change, and revoke them the moment you suspect exposure. Activity performed with your key is treated as yours.

You must verify the signature on every webhook delivery before acting on it, and your endpoint must respond promptly. Endpoints that fail persistently may be disabled.

Availability and support

We aim to keep the line answering at all times and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. Telephony depends on carriers outside our control, so we do not promise uninterrupted service.

Where calls cannot be answered, your configured transfer number remains the fallback.

Fees

Billing is currently switched off: creating a workspace does not ask for a card and no charges are raised. When charging begins we will tell account owners in advance and no existing workspace will be charged without a further, explicit agreement.

Your data

You keep ownership of your call records, transcripts, contacts and configuration. You can export them and you can delete them. Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Liability

The service assists your team; it does not replace their judgement. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of an agent summary or a buy-box score, for missed or misunderstood calls, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can close your workspace at any time; the number stops answering and your data is deleted according to the retention rules in the privacy policy. We may end the agreement for material breach, or with reasonable notice.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to account owners before they take effect, and continued use afterwards means acceptance.

Questions

Anything unclear can go through our contact page. Our handling of personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
